NeoBux is the PTC Website-NeoBux Review

Neobux is the best website  that does PTC (Pay to click).  For those of you who are not familiar with this, ads will be shown on a daily basis depending on your member status. Each time you click on an ad they will pay you up to .02 but from my experience most are .01 and some mini ads are .05.  You accumulate this and you can receive a payment once you reach $2.  The payment will literally instantly be in your alertpay, paypal or netletter account. For Pakistani users only the option available is ALertpay(Read More about Alerpay in urdu)

Now I know most people are already thinking, $.01 it will take a LONG time to even reach $2 but now this is where Neobux becomes unique.  For most sites if you have a referral you will make money off of what they click.  The problem with most sites is that it is hard to get these referrals.  At Neobux you can rent referrals for 30 days.  Each time they click on an ad, you will also make money.  Renting of course costs money but they will make back their investment easily.  After 30 days you can choose to renew them or let them expire.

There are also different types of memberships, the standard membership which is what you start with will let you click 4 ads a day, while the golden membership will let you click 9 ads a day but costs $90 a year, and finally the ultimate membership which is 15 ads a day and costs $890 a year.  There are many benefits on top of the ads and are well worth the cost.  For starters, golden and ultimate memberships will receive twice as much money from referrals for every click.  Standard members receive .005 per referral click while golden and ultimate receive .01 per click.  Ultimate members on the other hand have a higher cap on the number of referrals you can have (4000) while standard is 300 and golden is 2000.  There are people currently making $2500 a month in profit after expenses, and many others who have been able to make extra money just clicking a few ads a day.

The membership costs may seem like it will take forever, but you are able to invest money into the program.  You can of course just do it the harder way by clicking your way through.

So, what are you waiting for. Join neobux by just clicking the link below and start to earn money.

Popular Related Post Plugins for Wordpress

Are you a blogger, you are running your blog in wordpress platform?.
This post is very useful for you. In wordpress blog without plugins, it is very tough to run your wordpress blog. Why? Because for adding more features to your blog, you have to install plugins in your wordpress blog.

Ok Come to my point. In this post I am going to show you about some best wordpress related posts plugins. It is very useful for your blog.

Example: Visitors reading your post, after finishing reading, this plugin will show related posts of your visitor reading post. So it is very useful for reader and your blog also.

1. Related Post with Thumbnail (Wp-Thumbie)
2. Related Post by Category
3. Search Engine Related Post
4. Related Post by Tags
5. Efficient Related Post

Related Post with Thumbnail:

Display a list of Thumbnail related posts for the current post.

You can select the number of posts to be display in your content / feed.

You can choose to exclude posts from certain categories as well as exclude pages.

Features

  • Display Related Posts with thumbnail image automatically in content / feed, no need to edit template files

  • Doesn't use any custom field to generate thumbnail images

  • You can manually add code to your template where you want the Wp-thumbie to be displayed

  • Exclude posts from categories

  • Exclude display of thumbnail related posts on Pages

  • Exclude pages in thumbnail related Posts list

  • Related posts based on content and post title

  • Set Thumbnail image sizewordpress related posts plugins

  • Turn on/off Post excerpt

  • set lenth of Post excerpt

  • Different Styling for displaying thumbnail related posts

  • Display Thumbnail related posts in RSS Feeds (Styling issue)

Search Engine Related Post:

This plugin is used to display the search engine related post. That means when someone is referred from a search engine like Google, the plugin show your blog content matched the terms they search for. It is very useful plugin.

Related Post by category:

Related Posts by Category lists similar posts within any post. As a search string the plugin does not use the title of the article nor weighs the content. In fact the category, which was assigned to the post, serves as the source of accordance.

Features

  • Very fast execution

  • No user interface required

  • Post thumbnail integration (WP 2.9 or older)

  • Quick query in only one sql statement

  • Quantity of results and further options are adjustable

  • Foolproven implementing of this plugin

Related Post by Tags:

This plugin provides a sidebar widget containing posts with the thumbnail and post excerpt (POST + THUMBNAIL + POST_EXCERPT) which have similar set of tags as the tag set of the current post

The widget displays on single pages only.

For example, if a post has the tags "tag1", "tag2", and "tag3", and there are other posts in the system with the same tags, those posts will be displayed. If there are not posts that have all three, but some with two of the three, those will be displayed. The sort order for posts with the same number of matching tags.

Efficient Related Post:

There is a problem with related posts plugins, and Efficient Related Posts is fixing that by approaching the problem from a different direction and offering a very different solution.

Basically, current related post plugins build the list of related posts on the fly when the user needs to view it. Since blogs tend to be viewed far more often than they are updated (often hundreds of times more often), these queries are run way more times than they need to be. This not only wastes CPU cycles, but if the queries are slow (which they will be if you have 1000s of posts and tags) then the user gets a poor experience from slow page loads.

Efficient Related Posts moves all this effort into the admin section, finding related posts when a post is saved rather than when the user views it. The advantage is that if the query is slow it happens less often and the post writer is the one that waits rather than the user (which I think is WAY better).

There are limitations. For example, since the related posts are stored as post meta data, we only store a certain number of them (10 by default, but you can set it to whatever you want). This means that if you decide you need to display more than 10, you need to have the plugin re-process all posts. I generally display up to 5 related posts, but store 10 just in case I decide to display more in some areas. Also, since the related posts are calculated when a post is saved, manually adding a tag through the database will have no effect on the related posts, although I recommend not doing that anyway.

Great blog seo tips

Keyword research is the fundamental step in SEO process. I agree that it is a tedious and painful activity. But if you do not find correct keyword to target, it might waste your time and resources.

Here are 2 simple and quick ways to find traffic generating keywords for your web pages and posts.

Google Search Box.

I am going to write a blogging tutorial in which I will explain some blogging tips. Now I want to find keywords about this top. Simply I will enter blogging in google search box and then wait for a while. All the most searched words

In screenshot above, you can see easily that all the searches about blogging are clear. So, from this trick you can find the people's search behaviour that what they want.

While searching for “Blogging” keyword, many people will also notice other keywords presented by Google and click on them. This makes those other keywords great terms to include in your article content.

Google Related Search Terms

You need to use popular keyword for this method. For example, we can search for “Blogging” term. Once you’re inside search engine result page, you can go to the bottom of the search result page and find related search terms. Here is the screenshot.

Each related keyword is link to another relevant search engine result page. It is also a good idea to target these keywords.

Result

The methods mentioned above are quick and simple ways to find great keywords for your SEO purpose. But they are not all for your SEO process. You still need to go through keyword searches analysis and competition analysis before you decide which keyword to target.

Blogger is trying to defeat Wordpress

It was early 2009, when I started blogging by just making a blog on blogger.com and after the first day I started searching how to make a page on blogger blog, but all in vain. While I was searching I saw some beatuifull blogs on blogger.com with pages like SEO, Link Exchange, Advertise here.

I was realized soon that that was only the links by using searc and lable functions that helps a little to make a blog like website. I also did this with my blog and keep continued to search "How to make a page in blogspot blog". Then I hear about wordpress that is 500% customizable as

Some days ago I came to know that Blogger has developed a new feature to create a page for blogger. I think it will be very good feature for blogger users and most of the free wordpress blog users will migerate to blogger again.

Now, I will explain how to make a page in blogger.com

  1. Login into your Blogger.com account

  2. Move to Layout –> Posting –> Edit Pages

  3. Click on ‘New Page’ button or ‘Create a page’ link to start creating your first page on blogger.

  4. Once you have finished and saved your first page, its time to show it on your blogger blog. You can show it as tabs on your blog or show links for your pages in your sidebar. You can create up to 10 pages on a single blog.

  5. Again go to Layout –> ‘Add a Gadget’ link

  6. Now Select Pages which helps you add stand alone pages that you created on your blog, ignore if you ‘Already Added’

This way you will be able to show the list of pages on the top of your blog whose URL’s will look like:

http://domainname.blogspot.com/p/about-me.html

http://domainname.blogspot.com/p/contact-me.html

http://domainname.blogspot.com/p/privacy-policy.html

http://domainname.blogspot.com/p/advertise.html

Try creating some static pages on your blog with this create a Page feature which was recently enabled by Blogger team.

I think blogger will defeat free wordpress blogging.

WordPress Plugins to Safely Change Your Permalink Structure

In my previous post on “WordPress SEO Tutorial: The Best SEO Permalink Structure,” I realize that I had left out a major point to be taken: if you’re changing your old permalink structure to a new one, your site will LOSE the links love from other sites that have linked to you. Your site will NOT get credits for all the inbound links linking to your OLD permalink blog (instead of the new one).

BUT–luckily, there’s a WordPress plugin to fix this problem. And without further ado, here it is:

Permalinks Migration Plugin for WordPress: “With this plugin, you can safely change your permalink structure without breaking the old links to your website, and even doesn’t hurt your google pagerank.”

You can find details on how to change your old permalink structure of your blog to a new one there. And, yes, the author of that plugin also recommend /%category%/postname%/ as the permalink structure for your SEO blog–just like what I had posted on WordPress SEO Tutorial: The Best SEO Permalink Structure.

Also, there is a plugin called Permalink Redirect WordPress Plugin. It’s a “WordPress plugin that replies a 301 permanent redirect, if requested URI is different from entry’s (or archive’s) permalink. It is used to ensure that there is only one URL associated with each blog entry.”Yet, another one is called Angsuman’s Permanent Redirect. This plugin works “[w]hen a post or static page (in WP context) is fetched (using its permalink) for viewing the plugin checks if the post has a “redirect” custom field set. If it is set then a permanent redirect status is sent to the client/browser indicating that the post has permanently moved to the location (URL) specified in the value of “redirect”. So the viewer is automatically moved to the new location.”

*I personally recommend Permalinks Migration Plugin for WordPress if you are going to ‘permanently’ change your old permalink structure to a new one (to /%category%/postname%/ I hope :).

Frequently Asked Questions about Social Bookmarking

Soical Book Marking is the best way to get targeted visitors for your website but most of the biggener webmaster even dont't know what is social book marking. Today , I will explain the answers of some frequently asked question about social book marking.

1) What is social bookmarking?

[A] Social bookmarking is a user-based online system in which individuals tag their favorite web content and store it in one place, sharing it with others. The favourite content of person may also favourite of another person then it will boost your website traffic.

2) When did social bookmarking start?

[A] Social bookmakring began in crude form in the late 1990’s. It then fell out of favor online due to changes in the web. It came back in 2005 and has been getting increasingly popular ever since.

Nowadays, the websites like digg, twitter, facebook etc.. are the most popluar websites of the world.

3) What are the best social bookmarking sites?

[A] That depends on the content that you have, the tone that you use and the way that you network on the sites. Some of the most popular sites include Digg, del.icio.us, Furl, and Stumble Upon but many other sites are popular as well. Flickr is a site currently popular for social bookmarking of images. Check out the full list.

4) How do social bookmarking tags work?

[A] Users can tag their favorite sites with different keywords which help them to organize the content. So they might have “music” as one category for all sites that are related to that. In recent years, tags have gotten more involved because they are used to help others find your content and to help search engines see your content. Choosing the right tags can help drive content to your site.

5) Can anyone do social bookmarking?

[A] Yes, but you need to spend some time to learn how to do it right if you’re doing it for business purposes. There is etiquette on the social bookmarking sites that you can only pick up on by spending time there and seeing how people interact and promote content.

6) Is social bookmarking just a fad?

[A] Social bookmarking is a new trend. In its current form, it may be a fad and we may see that many of the new sites that are cropping up only last a short time. But the general idea of what social bookmarking is – the trend of user-driven content that spreads the word about products and supports business – is probably here to stay.

7) Is social bookmarking really necessary or my business?

[A] If your business operates locally in a small area and you don’t want to grow out of that area, then you may not need social bookmarking. But for national businesses that operate primarily on the web, social bookmarking is a key tool. It drives traffic to your website, increases attention to your services and products and helps spread the word about your business. It puts you higher on search engines and lets people know that you’re there to meet their needs. And it’s what consumers want right now; so give it to them!

8) How do I get started with social bookmarking?

[A] Learning about it is the first step. Read blogs, articles and books about the topic. Then start playing around on the sites. See which ones you like, which ones make sense to you, which ones are popular among the readers of your site and then develop your own method of using social bookmarking tools to work for you.

What Is DoFollow and NoFollow? Guide: How to Make Blogspot Blogs Dofollow?

Dear friends, this is a blog notification post. I have decided to make my blog, DoFollow. You will find the comment policy here.

Backlinks are very important for your websites. They are like votes cast by one respectable website to another, and they will greatly increase the site’s traffic. When one gets many backlinks, one’s site’s ranking in search engine results will skyrocket. Search engines use programs called search bots or web crawlers to access and index web pages. That’s how you see websites in the search results of Google and Yahoo!.

If your site ranks high for any search terms related to the products you promote, you can get several potential customers (a very daunting task indeed). Now, in order for you to get business, you must rank high in search engines, and the most important thing that will help you in this is link building.

You should try to get links from whichever sources available. It is a tactic in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). In the past, when you commented in a blog, you could get a backlink, just by using this HTML code:

<a href="your link URL">your link name (anchor)</a>

When you placed this piece of code within your comment, you used to get backlink from it. It was highly beneficial for you to rank high (especially if the blog is high PageRank).

What is NoFollow?

Soon the scenario changed. In 2005, Matt Cutts, Google’s webspam team head and Jason Shellon of Blogger brought up a new attribute in HTML codes—NOFOLLOW. Nofollow is a HTML tag added to the link anchor code, and will change the normal code as:

<a href=”your link URL” rel=”nofollow”>your link name</a>

This is automatically done. Meaning, when you comment with the link, the NoFollow attribute will be added automatically. And the result is deep. The link will be valueless and the search crawlers would not follow them to index. So, such a link is as useless as a piece of text. Blogger blogs soon adopted this and being Google’s regulation, all or most of other search engines also adopted this.

Though this is a good scheme to prevent comment spamming, it hit the genuine commenters. They also lost so many backlinks, and a nice easy way to get them. But people started working against this. The bloggers started removing NoFollow attribute from the comments of valuable commenters. And a different attribute, DoFollow began.

Many bloggers followed suit. Today there are so many DoFollow blogs, and by commenting on these blogs, with your backlink, you can get full value on that link. You can use such blogs and comment links in them to promote your own site in search results. Soon enough, so many DoFollow search engines also started coming, which index only DoFollow blogs. You can search for a particular term, and get the related DoFollow blogs.

A DoFollow comment will be a normal comment as in the above or will have the attribute “rel=’dofollow’” instead of nofollow, as in:

<a href=”link URL” rel=”dofollow”>link name</a>

The attribute DoFollow or no rel attribute at all means the blog link is good. Though no attribute in HTML exists as DoFollow, it means that the blog is not NoFollow, so it has the same effect of a normal backlink.

How to Make Your Blogger Blog DoFollow?

Before doing these steps, you should allow anonymous comments by going to Settings in Blogger and then Comments. You may enable or disable the moderation. You will soon know the importance of moderation, however. Here are the steps to make comments DoFollow:

1. Go to Blogger layout (in new Blogger) and click Edit HTML.

2. Check Expand Widget Templates.

3. Search for ‘NoFollow.’ You will find at least two of them in the code.

4. Remove “rel=”nofollow”” from the tag that starts with “<a expr:href='data:comment.authorUrl'”

5. The second nofollow attribute is for pingback/trackback URLs (blogs that link to your post and ping it). You may or may not retain these URLs. It’s completely optional.

6. That’s it! Enjoy. Your comment’s title is now ‘DoFollow.’

In old Blogger, you can do this by editing HTML in Template tab.

By doing this in Blogger, the comment title will be made DoFollow. But the backlinks will be available only if you comment with Name and URL field enabled. The comment body links will still remain NoFollow. So, you needn’t place any link in the body, just place the required anchor text in the name field, and URL in the URL filed and comment; it will become a DoFollow backlink to your URL.

How to Make WordPress Blogs DoFollow?

As I have no idea of WordPress blogs, and have never worked with them, I am not sure if this helps or not. But you can make the WordPress blogs or self-hosted WordPress blogs DoFollow by using a simple plug-in here.

In order to find a topic, you may just move to and expand the Archives tab and using your browsers find feature, search your keyword. You will find the most related post, whose title includes that keyword.

The Posts

Our Blog daily updates are shown on the main page. In the latest redesign, the latest ten posts will be shown, with a brief introduction. For you to get to the internal articles, you have to use the navigation as mentioned above.

Browsers and Platforms

I have tested the website with as many browsers as possible already. In all major platforms—Windows, Mac OS, and Linux—the blog displays correctly. Also, in all major browsers—Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Mozilla, Safari, etc.—no major display error has been noticed. However, slight script errors have been noticed with Opera.

It is recommended that you enable the JavaScript feature in your browser to suck the full juice out of our blog. Many of its features are enabled through JavaScript.

The most recommended browser to view the blog is Firefox. Here is more information on Mozilla Firefox (Fx).

Keeping Updated

Our blog is a dynamic blog. It gets updated regularly. Sometimes, multiple times a day; sometimes, multiple times a week. So, you are always in for newer posts here. I recommend you to keep yourself updated with the content. For this, you should either bookmark the blog in your browser or any popular online bookmarking applications like Delicious to come back regularly, or subscribe to RSS feed.

In order to subscribe, there are two optionsRSS reader subscription or RSS email subscription. The most popular RSS syndication company, FeedBurner, offers these services. You can get the RSS feeds directly to your reader by clicking the blue RSS icon on the top right corner. Alternatively, subscribe to the feed through email by putting in your email address in the field and clicking Subscribe. The second option will send every single full post published on the blog to your email inbox.

However, the feed syndication is a slow process. Usually, the feed gets updated several hours after a post is published. So, if you choose not to wait, check the blog out directly to see the updates.

Part II

Usage Policy

Google Adsense & SEO is a weblog powered by Wordpress. All the information contained within our blog are true to the best of my beliefs—all posts, except those belonging to the topic, Sponsored Entries.

We can't discard the possibility of flaws on the posts, however. There may well be some flaws here and there, and some unverifiable information, and personal opinions.

Though we have ensured to include facts in the blog and have verified all sources, we recommend our readers to check out more professional publications whose related links may be given in each post. Also, we acknowledge their help in spotting any accidental errors, such as typos, editing gaffes, factual mistakes, etc., within the posts.

You can contact me at any time regarding any sort of request. I recommend, for communication, that you use the contact form. More information on contacting me can be found on the contact form itself. Usually, my response will be prompt. It will not usually be delayed more than two days. In case it is delayed, you may tweet me @adsenseurdu. You can contact me upon any ventures, including link requests, guest-posting requests, help on any of the blogs topics, social networking, etc. [I am a free, cool person; you can contact me at any time of day on even dumbest requests, and I won't be angry with you at all!]

Extended Comment Policy

Google Adsense & SEO is a Dofollow Blog but should keep in mind:

1. The comment should be strictly related to the topic and should include your opinion. If the comment shows that you have not read the post at all, it will be deleted.

2. You should not post a comment asking for link exchange, or link suggestion or any other unrelated doubts or requests. Your questions related to the post may be posted as comment. I will post the answer as soon as I can. Unrelated queries or comments should be directed to me through the contact form.

3. Your website URL should not point to any improper websites—those involving sex, violent content, drugs, racial intolerance, hacking/cracking, MFA (Made for Adsense), plagiarized content, promoting illegal items, etc. I take the final decision as to include the comment or not.

4. The URL should not point to any non-existent page.

5. The comments should be at least three sentences long and should have clear content, without excessive grammatical or spelling errors.

6. The comment should not be copied. I periodically check my pages in CopyScape, and I will remove any comment that is an obvious copy.

7. You should not post comments involving hatred or malicious intent toward any of the featured authors in this blog.

8. Do not comment impersonating another entity; it may get you into legal troubles.

9. Anonymous comments are more strictly moderated.

However, any comment that is approved on this blog is strictly in my discretion. Any already approved comment may be deleted in the future for obvious reasons. So, your best bet is commenting with these guidelines strictly followed.

One more thing: Some comments I receive contain good value and a correct backlink, but due to certain errors such as not posting 'http://' part in the backlink, the backlink appears as "http://adsenseurdu.com/the backlink URL." These comments obviously point to non-existent pages. Such comments will not be posted. What you can do is check back the post after a day and see if your comment is posted. If not, please either contact me or make the comment again with the backlink corrected.

If You Don't Find a Comment Form

Normally, in all posts, you will find a comment form at the bottom. If you don't find one, it means the comments are disabled in the particular post, due to various reasons including excessive comment spamming. In order to still comment, follow these steps.

Step 1: Follow me on Twitter: @adsenseurdu.
Step 2: @reply me your request to comment, with the title or link to the post in question.
Step 3: I will reply you with a special code number and date.
Step 4: Come back to the blog and contact me using the contact form. Put the code number as the subject line and put your comment in the body, with your name, link URL, email address, and/or any other identification details.
Step 5: If the comment is appropriate and does abide by the guidelines, it will be published within some time of receiving it.

Install Digg, Retweet, Facebook Share & Yahoo! Buzz Sharing Buttons in Blogger Posts

Social bookmarking widgets in your blog posts are a quick way to share your articles on social bookmarking sites, that can get traffic and popularity to your blog posts.
The best place to install bookmarking buttons is below the post where readers can submit the article easily if they like it. But putting those buttons on a prominent place like at the top of the post is also beneficial sometimes for webmasters because readers can access those sharing buttons easily.

I'm sharing here installation of Digg, Twitter, Yahoo! Buzz, and Facebook Share button for your blogger blog posts.

These will appear inside your all posts at top right.
1. Go to Layout > Edit HTML.
Check "Expand Widget Templates"
2. Find <p><data:post.body></p>
3. And just ABOVE it, paste the following code.
<div style='float: right;'>
<table>
<tr><td>
<script src='http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js' type='text/javascript'/>
</td><td>
<script type='text/javascript'>
tweetmeme_source = &#39;YOUR-TWITTER-USERNAME-HERE&#39;;
</script>
<script src='http://tweetmeme.com/i/scripts/button.js' type='text/javascript'/>

</td></tr>
<tr><td>
<a href='http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php' name='fb_share' type='box_count'>Share</a><script src='http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/connect.php/js/FB.Share' type='text/javascript'/>
</td><td>
<script badgetype='square' src='http://d.yimg.com/ds/badge2.js' type='text/javascript'>ARTICLEURL</script>
</td></tr>
</table>
</div>

4. Save the template and you're done!

You'll see these 4 buttons in your all blog posts at top right position.

Customization

Facebook Share button is in Green code
Yahoo! Buzz button is in Pink code
To move the place of the button, change the "right" (bold), to "left" or "center" to place buttons accordingly.
You can add as many bookmarking buttons as you want if you know the codes of them.

How To Drive Traffic To Your Blog

When I started this website, I thought it would be easy to earn money online.  But after reading so many articles and ebooks on how to make money online and ebooks on search engine optimization, I realized that making money online is not an easy task.  Writing articles is nothing, if no one is reading it.  Your site is non-existent if no one visits your site.  With no visitors, no one will click the ads and no money will be generated from the site.  So, after posting around ten articles, I started to apply the different techniques of driving traffic to my site.  I learned some of these tips of driving traffic to my blog from other successful bloggers, a lot of ebooks and printed books related to getting visitors to view my site.  One of my online mentors is Marhgil Macuha of Macuha.com.  Another website that I find very useful in my early blogging is Selaplana.com.  I owe a lot from these two guys.

I must admit that driving traffic to your blog will demand a great deal of patience, time, and effort.  But there is really no shortcut to it.  It really takes a lot of understanding, before you can get traffic to freely flow to your website.

8 Tips On How To Drive Traffic To Your Blog

  • Google -> www.google.com/addurl/

  • Yahoo -> https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/mysites

  • Bing -> http://www.bing.com/webmaster

  • Facebook

  • Friendster

  • MySpace

  • Twitter

  1. Write interesting articles.  Write articles that are up to date, catches attention or even controversial.  A good title usually perks up the interest of readers to further read your article.  Interesting articles, with useful content, usually makes visitors return toyour site and recommend it to other readers.

  2. Make popular search engines learn about your site by submitting your site here:

  3. Exchange links with other bloggers.  Search for blogs that are related to your site.  Put the link of that site in your blog before requesting for a link with the owner of that blog.

  4. Submit your articles in the following sites:

  5. Announce your articles in Social Networking Sites to notify friends about your site and new articles posted:

  6. Register and participate to forums.  There are times that some forum members ask for sites that will be beneficial to them.  If your site meets their needs, then give them the link to your site.

  7. Visit other blogs and leave comments or share your views.  If your article is related to another blog’s post, then you may want to leave a link.  Watch out, because other sites do not allow inserting links to other sites.  You may want to ask permission first or check if the owner of the blog allows other visitors to leave comments with links.

  8. Email your friends and announce about your site and new articles posted in your blog.

Avoid spamming other blogs or you may be tagged as a spammer.  If this happens, bloggers may blacklist you in their site and tell their friends about your behavior in the web.  That would be embarrassing and will surely affect how you drive traffic to your blog.  Avoid getting in trouble with other bloggers, be friendly to them and they will be willing to help you.

How to get top position in Google

Impossible, right? Not really worth the time, right? Wrong on both accounts.

Many times while entering phrases into Google, I find a lot of somewhat related sites, but hardly ever anything exact. So why bother on getting these supposedly un-searched terms?

Because there is a perception that having your site in the #1 spot in Google means that your site is an authority on that particular subject. As any experienced user knows, this is most often not the case, but perception is reality.

Granted, some of the phrases that you can get ranked on may not be very popular, but you never know what a user is going to enter into the search box, or do we ever know at what point of information gathering they are at.

One of the most common traits of searching is that when a user firsts begins a search, they use a broad term, but as they get further along into their search, the phrases become more precise as they themselves filter out the un-related sites.

This is the same concept of which a successful PPC campaign can be run. While it may be great to get tons of traffic for the keyword "shoes", if a user is really looking for "Nike running shoes", the site has wasted money on that search.

Another curious stat that web analytics reveal is that a consumer that comes to a site through PPC is not a life-time customer. They are usually interested in the quick fix, or easy solution. Compared to a user who arrives through organic search engine optimization, they are more likely to be lifetime consumers since they tend to trust a company that has "earned" it's way to the top of the rankings.

By the time a user has a four to five keyword phrase entered in for their search query, chances are that they have already eliminated the "noise" and are focused on the "signal" i.e. the product or service that your site is offering.

One final item to remember is that if you have an exact phrase that is not common to a search engine query, once it gets indexed, it will most like appear in the number one position since the search engines always try to find an exact match when other factors aren't available.

Ultimate SEO WordPress Plugin: All-in-One SEO Pack

I’ve talked to several bloggers who spend a lot of time working on optimizing their websites for search engines, and often without good results. This can be attributed to several things, but often times it is the result of a lack of SEO knowledge, or to many SEO plugins that overlap and conflict with each other.

If you have more than one SEO plugin installed to do various functions for your blog, you have to many SEO plugins installed. WordPress users actually have free access to a very well done plugin called All-in-One SEO Pack, which currently does everything out of the box. I don’t pretend to be an SEO expert, but then again I don’t have to be with this plugin.

What does All-in-One SEO Pack do exactly? I don’t know how better to describe it than to just say that it does everything! And the best part is that it doesn’t require any coding work.   You can actually control everything from the Options panel of your WordPress dashboard.

Here is a screen shot of what my options panel looks like:

All in One SEO Pack Options Menu

By default, Wordpress will use your blog’s tag line for the description and keyword tags. With this plugin, simply enter your homepage information once (name, description, keywords, etc.) and it will automatically add the information provided to your homepage’s meta information.  This determines what search engines will display when your blog’s homepage shows up in search results.

For your individual posts, you will want your meta information to be customized to each individual post you do to help get the most optimal indexing with search engines. This plugin allows you to set everything up to happen automatically, or you can do it manually on certain posts if you wish.

Here is a look at the menu placed on your Write panel to enter your individual post information:

All in One SEO Pack Write Menu

  • Titles Tags – By default, WordPress will add your post title as the title tag for the individual post, but this is not always ideal. One thing a lot of successful bloggers do is target their title to their readership, but use a different title tag which targets search engine traffic. When the search engines spider your blog, they pull the meta title tag, not the post title. With this plugin, your Write panel will now display a field to enter a custom title tag that the search engines will use, but your readers will never see your meta title unless they view your pages source.

  • Meta Keywords – By default, WordPress will use your category assigned to your post as the keyword, but we all know this is often not a great indicator of what the post is about. All-in-One SEO Pack also provides a keyword field that you can enter in your own keywords, but it also allows you to automate this process if you wish. Because you can integrate it with the Ultimate Tagging Warror plugin, and UTW allows you to automatically assign your categories as tags, you can actually have this plugin insert your UTW tags (which includes your categories) as your meta keywords automatically. (Be sure to set UTW to not automatically use tags as meta keywords because you will then have duplicate keywords).  This will also go through and update your older posts with keywords.

  • Meta Description – The meta description is the description that the search engines will use when displaying their search results, so this can be just as crucial as your title when it comes to getting web surfers to click over to your website. In the Write panel, this plugin gives you the option of inserting a custom description of your post, but that could be quite tedious very quickly if you write a lot. This plugin also offers another solution that I haven’t found on any other SEO plugins, and that is the ability to automatically insert the first 160 characters of your post as the description.

Other features include the ability to automatically exclude your sites categories and archives from being indexed (to avoid duplicate content being indexed) without the use of Robots.txt. This is extremely useful for bloggers that don’t know much about making a Robots.txt file to guide the search engine spiders through your blog. You can also set your title formats to look exactly the way you want them to (posts, tags, pages, search results, archives, and even categories).

How do I set up the All-in-One SEO Pack plugin? It couldn’t be easier. Just upload the plugin and activate it and you’ll be all set to start using it. This also means it is incredibly easy to update the plugin as well, which will be extremely handy because the author releases updates regularly (sometimes several a week). Some may not like that, but I look at that as an author who is committed to making his plugin the best one available.

I have to say that I couldn’t be any happier with this plugin as it is. It is constantly getting new features and more integration added each week it seems, and it already combines the best of other SEO plugins while and some unique features as well.

If you aren’t already using it, I recommend you deactivate your SEO plugins and give this one a shot for awhile. If you are using it, I recommend you upgrade to the newest version, as the one you have is probably outdated.

About Hits, Pageviews, Impressions, Unique visitors

There are various of terms when it comes to calculation of web traffics. Some statistics give you report in terms of daily and monthly unique visitors; some provides more – Pageviews, Hits, etc. You could have heard webmasters claiming their sites to have more than 1 million hits a month. But how big is 1 million hits, does that means they have 1 million visitors every month? Here’s a brief explanations for those who are confuse how figures in these web statistic terms are generated.

Hits

Measuring traffics in hits usually returns you a proudly large number. Hits is also known as request and it’s the total number of files loaded when a single page is requested from the web server. So how hits are calculated? Picture this – a single web page with 20 images (transparent.gif, header-background.gif, etc)is loaded, that’s 20 hits for starters. The web page has 10 photos (jammie.jpg, group-photo.jpg, etc), that’s another 10 hits. if you add up the CSS files, Javascript files and all the external files, each time a web page is loaded, it can easily build up more than 50 hits. If you clear cache, reload the page, another 50+ hits again.

Hits are rarely used to to judge a website’s traffic nowadays as they are not really accurate. The numbers are big and certainly cool, but generally useless.

Pageviews

Pageviews is a calculation of how many times a page is viewed. Say a visitor lands on your main page, that’s 1 pageview. Same visitor clicks to About Us page, that’s another pageview. By dividing total pageviews with total unique visitors, you can get an idea how many pageviews each visitor generates.

Impressions

Impression is more or less a marketing term, normally calculated in bulk of 1000. It counts how many times a element (image, text, video) appears on a web page. If a advertisement network is paying $3/CPM (Cost Per Thousand Impressions), that means you are getting paid $3 when the banner appears 1000 times on your web page. Adbrite is also a cpm based ad network that can monetized your website.

Visits / Unique Visitors

Visits is normally equivalent to unique visitors. Think of it as the number of different people (different IP) that visits your web page. Visits or unique visitors are the most essential numbers of all, when it comes to determine the traffic of a specific site
