Post optimization Tips to get higher SERP

Post optimization Tips to get higher SERP

Let’s talk about On-Page Optimization, especially on posts content. Like everybody said that content is the king, and SEO is the queen. That is the critical area in our site. Blog post optimization gives your posts the best chance for showing up in Google for a predetermined keyword phrase.
I am using a EO plugin, and it give me inspiration to share what are they talking about. There is a technique to optimize blog post for better SERP in search engine result. Not just make a new post, publish and you will get good SERP. At least there are 10 things in their suggestion. What are they? Here is the complete list.
1.    Use Enough Keyword Density.
Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. Try to use it between 2 – 6%.
2.    Add Keyword Phrase in Post Title.
Always include the primary keyword phrase in the page title. Keep the title less than 70 characters in length.
3.    Add an H1 Tag Containing Keyword Phrase..
Most blog CMS’s automatically assign an H1 tag to the blog post’s title. But if you not sure that your theme have it, add H1 tag with the primary keyword phrase in it on the post content.
4.    Highlight Your Primary Keyword with boldface or strong near the top of your content
5.    Add an image with keyword phrase in alt text.
Always make sure to have at least one image on every blog post. Also, include the primary keyword phrase in the image file name and the image alt text.
6.    Add Keyword phrase to first sentence.
From the start of the sentence, you should use keywords that leads your post contents.
7.    Add Keyword phrase to last sentence.
In your post, most of the keywords should be used so that your post may get indexed. It is strongly recommended that the usage of the keywords must be reasonable otherwise you may be penalized by search engines.
8.    Inbound or Internal Links.
It is recommended to link the primary keyword phrase to a page on your website domain with the intent of helping that page rank for that word.
9.    Use more words.
Try to use enough words in your post content so that most of them get indexed in different search engines like Google. It is commonly seen that longer posts are indexed for different keywords.
10.    Use nofollow link for external links.
As you know that this is a DoFollow blog and it receives almost 98% spam comments. So, don’t use “DoFollow” link for external link, except the link have good and important or have correlation with your post. I suggest you to use “Nofollow” link to all of external link in your blog post.

Keywords research can make you millionare

I’ve been following Satrap’s tips and pointer on making money online for quite a while, and I figured it is about time I contribute something of genuine value to the blog (and the blogger) whose input helped me reach several significant conclusions on internet marketing.

We all know that there are many ways to make money online – different markets and niches within them, revenue models, advertising and affiliation options and the list goes on. The variety is staggering, and while I could delve a bit deeper into this I’d rather leave it to Satrap and focus on what I believe to be the common denominator to practically all online marketing methods.

No matter which method of monetization you go for, traffic generation is crucial to your success. Search engines send incredible multitudes of people in virtually every direction, and by “direction” I mean search query. It would be unwise (the understatement of the century, if you ask me) to ignore search engine traffic in your online money making endeavor, and the first step of tapping into that surge of potential conversions is keyword research.

Explore your niche and closely related niches as well. Get a comprehensive relevant keyword list compiled, and conduct an in-depth keyword research isolating the keywords that are both popular (searched for) and relatively easy to rank for in terms of existing competition. It is widely known that short tail keywords are usually very popular, but at the same time they tend to be the toughest to rank for with their high competition levels. That’s why I always recommend looking for those longer tail keywords that are both more specific (and as a result generally closer to conversion) and relatively easy to rank highly for. Low search engine rankings mean your site does not receive the exposure it needs in order to attract search engine traffic. Thinks about it – what would be better: appearing on the 15th SERP page for a highly relevant and competitive query that has an average daily pull of 10000 inputs, or ranking first on 7 different, yet relevant long tail queries, each pulling an average of 2000-3000 unique inputs? You get the idea.

It takes time and some creative thinking, but a properly conducted keyword research, incorporating the right keyword research tool, is worth the investment in the long run.

Broken Link Checker Plugin for Wordpress

Your visitor came from search engine and Got a 404 error. This is the bad thing for website owner that his users are being disappointed. Everyone knows that with the passage of time, websites grows and pages are added continuously.

So, this is very common to get some broken links because sometimes we accidently delete some pages or some of our pages are expired due to many reasons. Then we should have to do something with these broken links so that the users may not get worried.

For wordpress users there are many broken Link Checkers are available but most of them have too many disadvantages. Today, while I was searching, I come across a very powerful and hand plugin named Broken Link Checker.

Broken Link Checker plugin

This nifty plugin runs in the background anytime you’ve got your admin console open, and produces a report in the dashboard if it finds any dud links or missing images. Each row in the table also has a number of options that allow you to fix the problem without leaving the admin console, so it’s quick and easy to fix them.

Configuration

As you can see, configuration is straightforward:

  • Status – this alerts you to any problems found, with a link to the management page. You can also manually restart the scanning process, although this should rarely be necessary.

  • Check every post – here you can configure how frequently your site will be checked.

  • Broken link CSS – until they are fixed, by default any broken links will be displayed as a visual cue to your visitors.

  • Exclusion list – I haven’t found a need to use this as yet.

  • Work session length – pretty self-explanatory!

  • “Delete Post” option – the plugin author doesn’t recommend you use this, and neither do I!

If you change any of these values, don’t forget to click the Update Options button.

Fixing broken links

The management screen displays a table, with each row representing a broken link or missing image. It looks like this:

Here’s a brief explanation of each of the columns:

  • Post – displays the title of the post or page which has the broken link

  • Link text – displays the link text

  • URL – displays the faulty URL, along with an Edit option for you to correct it

  • View – this allows you to view the post or page, as seen by your visitors

  • Edit Post – this takes you to the post editor so you can make changes in context

  • Discard – this removes the row from the table, although it will reappear with the next scan if the link hasn’t been fixed.

  • Unlink – this gives you the option to remove the link from the post, whilst retaining the link text.

How Can Web Hosting Affect SEO?

All of us know very well that the real traffic of website can be gained through SEO. Moreover, Recently google started to count the speed of website for its search engine algorithm. Whenever, someone wants to play some tricks, you should keep in mind that the change webhosting company should not affect your SEO ranking otherwise your all hard work will get a zero value.

It has probably taken you some time to achieve your rankings, so you'll want to make sure that you don't have to start from the beginning simply because you have a new web host.  Luckily, you can change web hosting providers without any SEO impact by following a few simple steps:

    Keep Your Domain Name

If you registered a domain name for your website, you should be able to move it to your new website by using the DNS provided by your new provider.  This is an essential part of changing web hosts -- without your domain name, you'll be forced to wait for your new site to be read and indexed by the search engines. Also remember that your domain name is your online identity -- which can be even more difficult to recreate.

    Don't alter URL structures

Think about your website as a whole -- it's not just your home page that the engines index, it's every page of your website (and its corresponding URL).By keeping you URL structure the same when you move your site to a new web hosting company, you'll be able to retain your rankings and the valuable inbound links that affect the search algorithm.

    Pick a reliable provider

You must do your research before choosing a reliable web hosting company. Look for online reviews of your candidates and focus on those that offer an uptime quote of 99.99%. Most of the hosting companies are resellers of other companies and in case of any problem their own account can be suspended. So, try to contact a webhosting company that owns their own servers.

    Continuous Work

And at the end of story, I want to say this that a blog or a website can only be succeeded only if the owner posts frequently and updates the website continuously.

January 2011 Google Page Rank Update

Finally, Google has rolled out a Page Rank update after nine months. Before this, most of us were thinking that Page Rank technology has stopped to work but this PR update has confirmed that still PR is important in the eyes of Google. I am looking many new threads on different forums such like DP, sitepoint and v7n etc.. where many members have confirmed their PR update.

The last update had been on April 2010, so around nine months ago. That is quite a long time, especially if you consider at some periods in the past Google would roll a new PageRank update every three months or so.

Is PR important or not? This can be very well understand from the quoted text.

The take home message here is that PageRank is important, but it certainly is not worth obsessing over; there are many other factors involved in website ranking that should be given nearly equal consideration. In addition, simply building a good website is the best thing you can do to attract visitors, even without a great PageRank. PageRank, however, will likely follow – consider it a welcomed byproduct of your hard work.

The PR on most of my sites hasn’t changed a lot. Some of my niche sites gained 1 or 2 points, but that was it. My blog is still on PR 2 and may be it would gain some higher PR.
